If listening to music isn’t soothing enough, then how about teaming it with some nature-scape? The Sound Scape system does just that. The system beams out relaxing images (via the LED projector located in the circle) of clouds, water and other “nature-beauty” stuff. The size of the projected image can be customized via the sensor parameters that accompany the system. Basically it focuses on making you happy with visual treats, when you play some music.

Our favorite teapot maker Joey Roth is at it again. His Ceramic Speakers made the internet rounds months ago but I had to point out how there’s still nothing like it on the market and if he is to be believed – audiophiles and design snobs alike will both be appeased.

The Ceramic Speakers are made from porcelain, cork, and Baltic birch. Each material is minimally finished, left to add its natural beauty to the design. The included amplifier is made from stainless steel sheet metal, with a cast iron base and paulownia volume slider. Aside from the electronic components, plastic is rarely used.

Typical speakers are designed to play even the most compressed or poorly recorded track. They gloss over the details that give high-resolution music its depth. The Ceramic Speakers’ custom-made drivers, porcelain and cork enclosures, and Tripath amplifier reveal every nuance. They will show the difference between lossless and mp3 files, and will unlock vinyl’s richness.

Binding posts, 1/8″ jacks, and banana plugs have been perfected through years of electronic design. It would be arrogant to replace these simple, effective standards with proprietary connectors. Due to their open design, the Ceramic Speakers work with nearly all high-quality components. The terminals also have a utilitarian beauty that the design emphasizes rather than hides.

This is the strangest audio device I believe I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s just bizarre. It’s called the “Asspeaker” and it’s probably not for your average home. The main unit is the subwoofer and the control station. The smaller units are speakers and connect to the controller through bluetooth technology, they work as single cheek units and can be connected to store as one small butt. To activate the unit, one must tap the unit.

Tap the main unit to turn the speakers on. Once tapped, the unit shows that it’s received the command with a small red light (kind of like what happens when a cheek is smacked). This light goes away after three seconds. Rubbing the unit on either cheek in a circular motion turns the sound up (rotating right), and turns the sound down (rotating left.)

On the lines of the pet Rolly by Sony is the Mint Tank Music Player. It’s the sorts that follows you around, obeys your commands and doesn’t complain if you ignore it.
