It’s been a while since a watch has grabbed me… but once i laid eyes on high res pics of this limited edition OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra XXL Small Seconds Watch at Luxist, i haven’t been able to stop staring. There’s something about the design of the vintage Omega logo laser cut into the steel hands (in lieu of some of their more traditional arrows)… and that bright blue is stunning against the black and white… the numbers are in such a beautiful font… and the recessed small seconds subdial (made of applied sterling silver) is nothing short of entrancing. It has been produced in an edition limited to 88 pieces each in 18 Ct white gold with a black alligator strap and in 18 Ct rose gold with a brown alligator strap, but clearly the White Gold is my favorite. The famous Japanese toy Hello Kitty became a whole and entire piece of art. Joseph Senor, illustrator made his own Hello Kitties, turning them into famous cultural characters such as Buzz Lightyear, Darth Vader, C3PO, Robocop, Batman or even the Star Treck crew. It’s been a while since we talked about Branding or Packaging design on Whitezine. Well, we’re really sorry, but we didn’t see anything amazing… And here’s, finally a profile who’s going to change that. He’s named Adam Johnson and he’s a great designer. Jonas Fleuraime is a graphic designer and digital artist from Florida. Currently pursuing a degree in animation, he’s most importantly an amazing typographer who mixes typography, design and ideas.
