Sweet chocolate always comes with an impressive packaging and therefore it’s no surprise to find that most package designers have kept up with this trend. And today, we’d like to show you three surprisingly cool chocolate packaging designs.

Let’s take a look.

【Chocolate Pie Chart】

Designed by Mary& Matt, the packaging has shown us detailed proportions of each ingredient: 70% milk + 20% dark + 10% white chocolate = 100% Chocolate Pie Chart.

【Chocolate Pills】

Inside these conventional pill containers are not pills but chocolate. In case that you may mistake them with real pills, the designers have added special marks onto the boxes’ surfaces. And the concept about the Chocolate Pills is simply for fun! For an instance, the ‘Birth Control’ pills have been given a new name- the ‘Girth Control’.

【Chocolate Walnuts】

These chocolates are packaged by recyclable cardboard box with 9 holes that are covered by silver paper. When you’d like some, you needn’t have to open the box but just poke through the silver paper and then you can take out walnut-shaped chocolate.

“Recently finished design for a new line of bottled water called ‘Water For Water’ which is currently stocked across all Gloria Jean’s Coffee houses in Australia, with plans to implement the water into the international GJC franchises in the near future as well as other retail outlets.

The goal of the design was to reflect the international goals of the water (via the small text on the front with WATER in different languages) along with providing a design that would stand out from the rest of the bottled water that’s currently on the market. The design of the bottle took on and off approximately six months, going through various different design iterations including trials on different stocks, and was also affected by getting approval for the right launch date.

All of the profits from the sale of Water for Water go directly towards water based projects and initiatives and currently the first project is a Water Station in Caloocan, Philippines. It’ll provide not only clean drinking water at a minute cost, but also host a community centre that’ll he provide education both for children and adults as well as run programs on healthy living.”

“Yorkshire Dales Meat Company is a supplier of fine meat products to catering and they also produce a range of premium sausages to supply supermarkets. Their current sausage pack is wrapped in film with an almost unbranded white sticker applied. They approached us to look at packaging design concepts to increase their supermarket distribution, shelf shout and sales volume.

Without a brief we decided to offer them a new identity that would look proud and longstanding to back up the trade side of the business,  while also appearing honest and trustworthy in a supermarket environment. The packaging itself is a simple white card sleeve, printed to look like brown card with a white sticker and stamp on it, in order to keep cost down. We focused on the Yorkshire heritage and wanted to show the product as no nonsense “proper Yorkshire sizzlers”, which is where the cheeky pig and tone of voice comes in. We felt that the contrast of the card and white background gives a farmers market, fresh feel, while showing off the product on display.”

“Fentimans is a popular premium soda across the pond but a virtual unknown here in the states, so its history and time-proven qualities would need to be worn on its sleeve, so to speak, for its American debut. Early 20th century advertising art and classic playbill character paint a unique portrait of this quintessentially British beverage.”
