Mark Law and his brothers created the Designedbylaw studio to put together their works as freelances. With such clients as BBC, HP, Panasonic or Microsoft.. they are constantly fully inspired to create amazing products such as the Leica camera they’re about to release. For one time, the Leica camera is going to have a simple and linear design. Even the flash is not showed, and only goes out when it’s necessary. Leica fans will be torned between this amazing design, and the famous touch of Leica, but we’re guessing they’re going to love it really fast. More infos on Behance.

clip_image001On unexpected packages that arrived ~ a Polaroid SX70 Original from the Impossible Project ~ as well as a pack of the PX 100 Silver Shade / First Flush… The IMPOSSIBLE Project – “In October 2008 The Impossible Project saved the last Polaroid production plant for Integral Instant film in Enschede (NL) and started to re-invent and re-produce a new intant film for traditional Polaroid Cameras.” ~ in addition they’ve been fixing up vintage polaroid cameras… “Polapremium SX-70 cameras are NOT new, but we did our very best to make them look and function like unused cameras. Nevertheless we cannot avoid that some cameras will have some minor cosmetic signs of their former usage.” and i couldn’t resist trying it out… so here’s a first look at the details and a test pic of the first flush on the next page!  clip_image002

It’s such a touristy thing to hang your camera around your neck, it’s a dead giveaway! Being sleek and discreet about you is more of the trend and HAN.DI Camera fits the bill. It’s the sort that fits snugly around the palm of your hand or around the wrist like a bracelet; plus it gives you the independence of taking your own pics via the detachable remote control. Two expanding joints allow its size to be adjusted, making it suitable for all shapes and sizes….of hands!

Maybe it’s the Pagan Symbols that have inspired it

or the fact that Yin and Yang need to co-exist in every design form, but the truth is Love Connection Mobile Phone Concept doesn’t remind me of the relationship between male and female; neither the dent, nor the projectile! It however is a sweet attempt at being something different as an MP3 player + Phone + Camera + Entertainment System.

The two pieces come together to be used as a video display or the touchscreen interface of a phone. Split them up and one platform can be used as a MP3 player and the other as a phone. The cord between

the two interfaces is retractable and the gadget can be hooked to earphones as well (in case you don’t want to use the built-in speakers).

A different kinda Yin and Yang!

Adding a new dimension to photography is the Intel Capture180 Camera. Taking a tangent from the mega-pixel war, and data storage issues, the Capture180 Camera brings in the news with its Virtual Reality imaging proposal. It uses a 180 degree fish-eye lens to capture 180 degree hemisphere and stores the information as meta-data within each shot, allowing the camera’s viewfinder, a digital picture frame, or your computer screen to come alive with the images.
The 180 degree fish-eye lens captures quite a wide view of the shot.

The warped photos are unwrapped in-camera into a hemisphere of image, and everything outside of the traditional picture frame is stored as meta-data. When viewing photos, position sensors allow the camera’s viewfinder to act as a window into a still moment in time. If it’s a photo of fireworks, you can point the camera over to the left see the faces of the people sitting next to you- it’s like the camera never left the place. The extra meta-data also means that photos can be recomposed long after they’ve been shot. Photos can be cropped down or up, and this pretty much eliminates the need for the user to point. The whole scene is captured with each shot, and one or multiple photos can be composed from the scene later.
