The Chicle Initiative / What the Hella?

Interesting beauty product packaging designed by The Way We See the World:

"THE CHICLE INITIATIVE is a line of beauty products designed to help the communities of the Yucatan Peninsula who harvest a natural material called chicle latex. Developing a viable economic export would preserve their indigenous culture and natural habitat and protect their land from being clear-cut. This project is inspired by the Cooper-Hewitt’s exhibition, Design for a Living World, in which Hella Jongerius was asked to find an industrial use for chicle but was unable to. We were determined to pick up where Hella left off."
