BREATHING is a chair that can elastically transform and vividly provide the full support for people to sit on. When the user sits on the chair, the edges of the chair automatically become the armrest; also, when the user stands up from the chair, the chair returns to the original shape of a cube. Weight determines the shape. The designer of this chair, which answers to the name Breathing is Wu Yu-Ying. The Breathing chair is made with thermoplastic polyurethane foam, which is a 100% recyclable material. The elasticity of the material allows the chair to change shape under the sitter’s weight, and provides constant support to the body.
