Meyda Custom Lighting said it uses "hot shop" glass blowing techniques to re-shape wine bottles into light fixtures. These new pendants, shown in green 3", blue 4" and an amber 5", use a 40-watt T6.5 bulb and are available in frosted or transparent coloured glass.
All of these Flared and Finned Wine Bottle Pendants are custom crafted in upstate New York–though my first guess was actually California–and the studio is a Meyda Tiffany Company, the US’s leading manufacturer and designer of Tiffany lamps and decorative lighting.
While these would no doubt look lovely in a wine bar, what I really like about these is that at first glance you wouldn’t guess their origins–though it’s a pretty cool concept to brag about.
